Hello.
First off I want to thank everyone for your patience while we have been working on the rifle range. A little background on this. There was a complaint sent to the BC Chief Firearms Officer with regard to ground strikes and crossfire. A video was sent to her showing these things. Because of this, we shut the range down to raise berms and build new stands that meet the height requirement. There is still a lot of work to go. There will be some more closures periodically to continue the work to come up to compliance. Having said this, the range will be open at 12:00pm today, Friday, Sept 29, 2023 for only the 100 yard targets. We are building stands at the 200 and 300 yard line and will update once those are complete. There are currently 5 stands open for 100 yards. Stay in your lane when firing at the target. No crossfire. Please follow range rules at all times. If rules are broken you could have your shooting privileges revoked or have your membership removed. This will be at the discretion of the executive. Please follow our caretaker Vern’s direction at all times. I want to thank people that have been working on the berms, the donation of the machine and time to do the berms. All calibres are allowed to shoot at the 100 yard targets. No outside targets or stands are allowed for the moment as we have more work to do to the range to shoot closer than 100 yard targets. Also our caretaker Vern has been working hard on the stands and grounds to get this all ready so thank you to him as well. As most of you know we are going to get inspected from the cfo. It sounds like this will happen later in November. I would also like to invite members to our next meeting October 10th at 7:30. The executive can explain more of what’s going on at the meeting as well. There is also going to be voting on expenditures to do more upgrades. Next time we do work we will let the membership know as any help would be greatly appreciated.

Archery Range
We are excited with the progress on the new addition to our facility. We have lots of dirt being dumped and it will be levelled off to make the range.... our hopes are to have a 100 yard archery facility for members to enjoy. It will still be a while before it's ready for use, but we are continuing to work on it and build targets.
